Escorts Kubota, Tractor Junction enter into MOU collaboration
Date: 12 Aug 2026
Escorts Kubota Limited, one of
India's leading manufacturers of agricultural and construction machinery, has
entered a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tractor Junction to
establish a structured framework for the valuation, liquidation and resale of
exchanged tractors across its authorized dealership network.
As exchange-led sales gain
momentum, dealerships are increasingly required to manage a growing pool of
pre-owned tractors. Yet, the absence of structured valuation mechanisms and
efficient resale channels often makes accurate pricing difficult, delaying inventory
liquidation and increasing losses for the dealer. This results in impacting
cash flow, constraints inventory replenishment and affects the dealer's ability
to maximize new tractor sales.
Addressing this challenge,
Tractor Junction will leverage its specialized expertise in the pre-owned
tractor segment, combining market-led valuation, transaction-backed pricing
intelligence and a nationwide buyer network to establish accurate price discovery
for exchanged tractors.
The platform will facilitate
timely liquidation of dealer inventory, enabling dealerships to increase new
tractor sales by giving every customer the best value for their used tractor
and at the same time unlock blocked working capital and improve inventory
turnover. With an established network that already facilitates the sale of
nearly 500 pre-owned tractors every month through 100+ COCO dealerships,
Tractor Junction brings the scale, market reach and transaction expertise
required to create a structured channel for exchanged tractors. Escorts Kubota's extensive dealer network
with Tractor Junction's specialized capabilities, this collaboration is
expected to foster a more organized and transparent used tractor ecosystem
while enhancing operational efficiency across the dealership network.
Under the agreed operating
framework, Escorts Kubota’s participating dealerships will identify eligible
exchange tractors generated during new tractor sales. Tractor Junction will
undertake digital inspection, market-based valuation and structured listing of
these assets across its extensive buyer ecosystem. Depending on the condition
and market demand, tractors will be matched with verified buyers through a
streamlined transaction process, enabling quicker inventory turnover while
ensuring competitive value realization.
The first phase of the
collaboration will initially be rolled out across Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and
Maharashtra, with subsequent expansion into Gujarat, Telangana and
Chhattisgarh. The phased rollout is designed to ensure operational readiness
and facilitate a consistent implementation framework across future markets.
Commenting on this
collaboration, Neeraj Mehra, Chief Officer, Tractor Business Division at
Escorts Kubota Ltd, said:
“This MOU with Tractor
Junction gives customers a transparent, market-backed price for their existing
tractor and a faster path to a new one. It also gives our dealers a reliable
way to move exchange inventory, so they can focus on what they do best, which
is putting the right machine in the right farmer's hands.”
Commenting on the
collaboration, Rajat Gupta, Founder & CEO, Tractor Junction, said:
"A strong dealership
network requires equally strong lifecycle solutions. While new tractor sales
remain the primary business for dealers, the efficient management of exchange
inventory has become increasingly important in sustaining business momentum.
Through this collaboration with Escorts Kubota, we are bringing greater
structure, pricing intelligence and market access to the used tractor
ecosystem. Our objective is to help dealers unlock capital faster, improve
inventory productivity and create a more transparent exchange experience that
benefits every stakeholder across the value chain."
